ONLY 3 things you should be doing in your business
just THREE simple things
But first let’s talk about what really happens when you start your business
You get caught up in the delivery of the service. You need to get the right ingredients, materials, suppliers and tech in place. You need to get the right people you can rely on and that’s not always easy.
You work night and day, your freedom is gone and you’re working harder than you ever have to get your business, your idea, you baby off the ground.
You kind of get sucked into the day-to-day operation and start looking inwardly to your business when you know that you need to put more focus out there where your clients, guests and customers are.
It doesn’t have to be this way
- you have time off with the kids and your partner - you take a vacation and - still have a business to come back to when you return
In fact your business is growing and you are starting to see the benefits of the chance you took.
Imagine that this is your business. Filled every day with happy chatter, people coming up to you and thanking you for opening in their community, thanking you for bringing your product or service to them.
Just imagine what would that do to your business and your bank balance?
OK but wait… that’s not always our reality is it? At least it wasn't for me... at first.
Firstly, please understand that ...
it's not your fault. there is nothing wrong with you. and it's not just you...
You just need to know how to turn this around
I've had the honor of being asked to speak at industry expo's and business conferences all over the UK & USA on how I managed to get visibility for my businesses.
So many people asked me "how do you do that?"
How did you build a successful food service business in just a few short years in the US, with no restaurant experience?
How did you end up doing an etiquette class for the Indianapolis Colts Mascot?
How did you end up winning the business to deliver to the 2nd Lady of the United State Of America?
How did you manage to get so many great reviews online?
How did you get so much TV & media coverage?
How did you get to create those extraordinary experiences in the UK & USA for the hospitality industry?
How did you get to be recognized as leading the home staging industry in the UK and receiving an innovation award?
How did you get your businesses to be ranked Number 1 on Google?
How did you get asked to write your first book by a publisher?
How was your company invited to partner with one of the UK's largest paint manufacturers and a National new home builder?
How did you get invited to be an expert on numerous TV shows in the UK and USA?
It didn't happen overnight, it took over 20 years of figuring it all out.
I remember someone once telling me "you can't hide you light under a bushel - not when you are in business" and a mentor of mine said, "the only thing in business worst than people talking about you, is NOT talking about you." I guess I took this all to heart and started working on building visibility in to everything I did. It took me years to realize that what I was doing, wasn't what everyone else could do or would do in their business. I’d been unknowingly, following a formula created out of necessity and developed over time in both the USA and in the UK, in very different markets, in very different industries.
If you’re anything like me, when you start your business you have no money for advertising, but you know you need clients who keep coming back time and time again in order for you to pay your bills and cover your overheads. So you rely on word of mouth but that just isn’t happening fast enough and your reach isn’t far enough and soon you’ll run out of money. So your forced with either borrowing money or giving up on your dream.
So what are the ONLY three things you should ever be doing in your business?
There are just three things to focus ALL your time on. Would you like me to share them with you right now?
These are ONLY three things you should ever be doing in your business. Just 3 simple things:
1. Serve your clients, your guests, or your customers,
2. Manage your costs down
and finally ....
3. Consciously and intentionally manage your V I S I B I L I T Y!
Now visibility can be confused with selling and advertising and producing marketing materials (sometimes called marketing). But I can explain all that another time.
How do I know all this? Well I was in your shoes too, at the beginning and I managed to turned it all around.
This may be the first time you’ve thought about getting REALLY visible in your business. The thought of being on TV or speaking in public may scares the heck out of you. You may wonder if this would work for you and your type of business. It's easy to shrug it off and say 'its alright for you, but my business is different".
Well, I can tell you, I followed this process in a number of very different industries, in two very different countries with different cultures, and it still worked. Oh yes, just in case you are wondering, I have no marketing degree, or a qualification in PR. In fact I dropped out of college. Everything I now share with you has been created out of experience of what works. What really works. Not theory.
Now can you could do this on your own. You could like me, when I started, do this as an afterthought, on a adhoc basis and take the visibility wins as they come.
Or you can do it deliberately by following the Visibility Creator System which I developed for my own businesses which has 10x my marketing and helped my businesses to grow by 50% each year, while not having to work any more hours.
In fact this system allowed me to get my time back so that can now teach the system to others just like you.
It doesn’t have to take the years it took me to work this out.
