I’ve been an advocate for small business ever since I became an entrepreneur myself in the late 1990’s. After working for corporate IT for 15 years and climbing the corporate ladder I started feeling so disillusioned with chasing the money I felt like I was giving up my soul. Can you relate?

When I left to start my first business, I felt the utter liberation from corporate slavery and the box I was being contained in and I felt the immense joy from the process of creating products, services and marketing my own stuff and making my own money from scratch.

Looking back on my life, I’ve always wanted to share this liberating transformation with other women business owners so they can too thrive. How they can build a business on their passion and create something that nurtures their soul. Building in such a way to build in time freedom, build a team around them and help them to understand that they don’t need to do it on their own.

So often I see women exchanging the hamster wheel of their corporate job for a job in their business, creating another hamster wheel and still chasing the money, finding themselves doing work they no longer enjoyed, doing it for people they don't enjoy working with and settling for "that's the way it is."

Just because you’re in business for your self doesn’t mean you have to be in business BY yourself.

So may times, women think they have to do it all on their own. They become The Martyr, when being supported by other women is their true nature. And through connection, they can build a community around them that is supportive.

I’ve realized I’ve been interested in providing this support for years and that’s what I have been doing a side project since becoming an entrepreneur. Speaking at women’s events, business networking groups and entrepreneur conferences for over 20 years.

And now is the time to get serious, as I truly commit to spending the rest of my professional career, training, coaching and mentoring others (mainly healers, heart centered, and purpose driven women business owners), to help them to grow their business, so they can reach more people and have more impact in the world.

Being a resource and offering support however I can, that aligns with my values and my dreams. It almost doesn’t matter what business you are in or what you do, as long as you follow your joy and find enrichment and fulfilment every day.

I know, I’ve been to the darkest corners of unfulfillment and despair. I’ve sat on the bedroom floor and cried my heart out, I mean really cry with snot and everything, as I worked myself into the ground, following the things that didn’t light me up. I didn’t do it once, but thrice in my career, before finding my joy, my passion and my calling.
